Can anyone let me know how to access these records - I have a great aunt who was on the electoral roll until 1934 and single but she then disappears until her death in 1980.
Welcome to TD Peony Not much seems to have survived, take a look here: Code: http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/help-with-your-research/research-guides/womens-land-army/
Have you tried the 1939 Register? Might take you a little bit further forward. Whereabouts was she living? My mum was in the Land Army (she's nearly 90), and is still in contact with younger members of the family/community she spent time with all those years ago. I'm thinking perhaps that if you knew which area she was placed, you might even be able to make enquiries there - perhaps they have a local rag/parish magazine. It's a long shot, I know, but sometimes you strike lucky.
