On the 1871 census it says Ann was born Suffolk. No area, just Suffolk.

And if you look on the 1861 census you will see that before the marriage to Ann he was previously maried to a Mary b.1817 Swanscombe. Eldest child shown age 20 so married prior to 1841.He wasn't rich but he must have had something to keep marrying one after another!
So no,Chimp, you are not wrong

    Phewwww

It doesn't help that there are 2 Richard Munns in the same area at the same time. The other Richard married Sarah Miler in 1864.

This probably wont help but hay.

Going back through the censuses I think I have found all the family. Estimated birth years taken from the censuses. All baptisms Father Richard, Mother Mary. All baptisms in Swanscombe.

    Richard Munn 1815
    Mary Munn 1815
    Williams Munn 1838, Baptised 11 Mar 1838
    Richard Munn 1841, Baptised 30 Aug 1840
    Eliza Munn 1842
    Ellen Munn 1846, Baptised 17 Jun 1845
    Emma Munn, 1848, Baptised 14 Nov 1847
    George Munn 1850, Baptised 04 Nov 1849
Esther Mann 1853, Baptised 21 Nov 1852 (Esther Susan)
    Anna Mann 1855, Baptised 23 Jul 1854
Jane Mann 1857, Baptised 24 Aug 1856 (Laura Jane)
    Mark Mann 1859

I have found a marriage for a Richard Munn to a Mary Inward in Chalk, Kent on 20 March 1836.

Distance from Chalk to Swanscombe is about 6 miles.

On both the 1851 and 1861 censuses Richard and Mary say they were born in Swanscombe. I have found 2 possible baptisms

    Richard Munn
Christening: 10th March 1816, Swanscombe, Kent
    Father: Richard, Mother: Margaret

    Mary Inward
Christening: 11 Aug 1816, Swanscombe, Kent
Father: Jeremiah Inward, Mother: Sarah Inward

(as an aside, there is a death for Richard Munn born 1816 in 1892 in Dratford Kent)
