Have received this reply today from Staffs county council Thank you for your enquiry. Unfortunately it is with regret that I inform you that we do not hold any information regarding Mr Parry as our retention period for child care records does not extend that far back in time. Any files regarding Mr Parry during his childhood would have been destroyed.
Sad when that happens for what ever reason. Still I guess there'd have been a veritable mountain of papers & where to store them? We'll just have to hope for people contact & memories of Family. There were other Parry Families in Cannock back then--probably related.
I am making headway now with kind help from you all.I have a family tree showing Johns Grandmother Marry Jane Boulter(later married William Parry). Mary Jane had 4 brothers and sisters. Elizabeth born 1857 Sarah Ann born 1859 William Henry born 1860 and Henry George born 1869. I have filled in the gaps for Elizabeth Mary Jane and Henry but am struggling with Sarah Ann and William Henry. Can anyone help please
Do you have the family in the 1871 census (They should all be in that one). If so, what is the reference, please?

How sad. Liverpool Daily Post 11 September 1869 Fatal Blast Furnace Accident. One of those accidents by which considerable fatality is brought about in the iron making district, has occurred at Wednesbury. At the works of Messrs Lloyd & Foster two men were engaged in running the iron out of the blast furnace, when a portion of the side of the huge erection blew out, and they were horribly bespattered with the scoria and molten metal. As speedily as possible they were conveyed to the South Staffordshire Hospital, in Wolverhampton, where one of them quickly died. His name is Henry Boulter, and he leaves a wife and four children totally unprovided for. Hopes are entertained of the recovery of his companion.
Poor Sarah Ann was expecting their fifth baby when her husband died. Births Mar 1870, W. Bromwich, 6b 797 Henry George Boulter
