The ranks are starting to build. Seems we may have a little battalion of Williams' descendants showing our respect for two uncles we never got to meet.

No. No note book. Got just about all I need and stuff I didn't really need to know. The camera will come out at the appropriate times though.

Nope, I typed in a 'c' first & it didn't look right [or left ] so I chose the next best thing, another 't'.

Only because there were 15 original children who all went there (edit..their ) separate ways and now their grandchildren are all finding each other. Great stuff.:D

The Australian War Memorial's Facebook page shows a live video of the Last Post Service everyday, where a different service person is remembered and sometimes a battle. Today they commemorated the 1st Battle of Bullecourt and Sgt George Payne Cross from Sydney who served in the 1st World War.

Edited to add: I didn't realise that the earlier posts were from last year.

Just returned from 2 wonderful days away with hubby meeting up with 'lost cousins'. The ranks swelled to 16 and the lovely host of one of the guest houses put on a wonderful dinner for us all. Lots of photos taken for the Canowindra historical society as one local genealogist had been researching our two boys.
Two other TD members were there and Postiematt laid a wreath on behalf of all the 'Williams'. Thank you Matthew.
