That looks like a useful one to get: (a) it's a probate rather than an administration; (b) people who die without a spouse or children often name lots of nieces and nephews etc.

(Unless they leave everything to the local dogs'/cats' home )

There is a sting in the Will of a 4X great grandfather for his one son in the form of a lengthy codicil, part of which is shown below:

Wonder if the son ended up a pauper.

Irene, was as I said, James's cousins daughter. She was living with James. James was 66 years when he died on 31st March 1945.

Irene married Thomas Drury in the December quarter 1946 in the Scunthorpe Reg. Dist.

They had one daughter in June quarter 1950 also in the Scunthorpe Reg. Dist. I have also found a death for her in the same quarter 1950.

I have found the death of Irene Annie Drury on 26th December 2003. I think she was the one living at 3, North Street, Market Rasen, Lincolnshire in 2002-3. There is a probate.

I have no idea when Thomas died. All I know about his is his name.

There is a death in Scunthorpe in 1951 for a Thomas Drury, June qtr (3b 338)
    age 45 so born 1906.
It could explain the lack of further births.

    Good Point.

I don't have their marriage certificate, so I'm not sure when he was born.

You can forget it - there is an entry in the probate register - widow's name is Alice.

Quite how you confirm it without shelling out cash:nailbiting: I do not know.

Any Lincolnshire members who could look at electoral rolls for you?
