Click on the green Alerts Link beside the Log Out button.
A drop down box will appear alerting you to recent posts.
Click on the black word Alerts, this is a clicky link and will take you to a bigger list.

On the left are links to Your Account, Conversations and Your settings.

Here you can subscribe to a thread (Watched Threads) and you can also subscribe to a member (People you follow). It would be handy if you are helping someone with their family to follow them around the forum and be alerted to other threads they may post on the same family.

Try each link and see where it takes you, make a note of the ones you will use most often.

Click the green link for Alerts.
Click the black word Alerts.
Look to your left and under the heading in the list under the heading Your Account, you will see a link Your News Feed, click it.
This will show you what the members you have chosen to follow have been doing and where.

At the bottom of the Your News Feed page is a small clicky link called Recent Activity, click it.
You can see all members, what they have said, where they have been and when they did whatever.
There are lots of clicky links to them, their posts and their threads.
