Bet & Woodroof, Maldon marriage in Sawbridgeworth baptisms

The following marriage I found recorded in amongst Sawbridgeworth baptism entries.

"1587
Steven Bet & Anne Woodroof were marryed by licence in ye parish church of Maldon ye 19?th day of September."
Herts Record Office ref # D/P 98/1/1 on FMP Sawbridgeworth Composite 1558 - 1657, image 15 of 146.

The v in Steven looked a bit odd but it didn't look like a ph or a f, also the day of the month was in Latin numerals and not easy to decipher.

Someone, somewhere, some day might be interested, one for the robots.

Just for the record the entry did not mention that Maldon was in Essex, when I first noticed it, in the absence of "Essex", I thought there must be a Maldon in Herts, I know there is a Malden in Surrey, but I Couldn't find a Maldon in Herts in my Road Atlas.
