It looks like 'Oed date' between 'disease' and P.M. What's that? Oedema... ?

P.M. definitely Post Mortem, yes. And death registered two days after the event, in a hospital. So... what might 'old date' mean?

I don't know nor could offer a guess, it doesn't seem to make any sense and I cannot think of anything other than date for the second word (data keeps coming to mind, but that last letter does look like an 'e' and not sure data was a word used at that time)

My guess is the person filing out the record mis-transcribed what the doctor had put on the document given by the hospital for the death to be registered

Since the Bright's disease is "chronic" does it mean "of old date" meaning he or she has had it for a long time? Tautology with Chronic, of course.

I remembered afterwards that my daughter had been involved in autopsies during her training so I messaged her - and she hadn't a clue what it might mean.
