Found this in the papers when I was looking yesterday.

WHITEHALL, APRIL 5TH, 1858. The Queen has been pleased to grant unto James Banks, of Moor Court, in the parish of Pembridge, in the county of Hereford, clerk, second son of Richard Banks, of Kington, in the said county, by Esther, his late wife, eldest daughter and co-heir of William Davies, of Talgarth, in the county of Brecon, gentleman, deceased, and niece of James Davies, late of Moor Court aforesaid, Esq., also deceased, her royal license and authority that he may, in compliance with a proviso contained in the last will and testament of the said James Davies, take and use the surname of Davies only ; and also to command that the same royal concession and declaration be registered in her Majesty's College of Arms.

There are quite a lot of mentions of the various members of the family in the papers. Richard William's will was widely reported, including this from the Illustrated London News 28th November 1891
The will (dated June 14, 1889) of Mr Richard William Banks, J.P., late of Ridgebourne, Kington, Herefordshire, who died on June 24, was proved on Nov. 13 by Mrs Emily Rosa Banks, the widow, and William Hartland Banks, the son, the executors, the value of the personal estate amounting to upwards of £50,000. The testator leaves £500, and all his horses, carriages, cows, greenhouse plants and effects in garden to his wife; his residence, Ridgebourne, with the pictures, furniture, plate, and effects to his wife, for life or widowhood, and then to his said son; a cottage at Newton to his daughter, Rosa Marianna Banks, and various stocks, amounting to £5500, upon trust, for her: and legacies to nephew, nieces, manager and clerks in the Kington and Radnorshire Bank, servants, and others. The Ridgebourne estate and the residue of his freehold property the counties of Radnor, Hereford, and Brecon, and the residue of his personal estate, including his shares in the said bank, he gives to his said son.

There is a full report of the funeral of William Lawrence in the Western Mail of the 2nd February 1893.
