Hi there; Biker Al signing in for the first time. I have been researching both mine and my wife's family trees on & off, but more off than on of late, for about 10 years.

Counties of interest are [London], Kent, Surrey, Dorset, Devon, Hampshire, Pembroke & Ireland (Enniskillen).

I am a member of Ancestry & use Family Tree Maker on an IMAC. Hoping to meet some like minded people, pick up a few tips & give some help to others if I can.

Hi there Biker Al, good to see you! This place is stuffed with helpful and like minded people! Have a good snoop around, and get posting. Hope your weather was better than mine today!:)

Welcome Biker Al,

It's a friendly place and lots of helpful people to answer those queries..

Ah forgot to add Al, presumably you have an amazing avatar to rival Doug's? No pressure of course:)

Oh yes, another oldie bike picture please :) preferably 1930s (the bike, that is) -- sorry:( , it's a fetish of mine:D

Hmm, but the point is ... Hello and WelcomeC|:-)

Well, this cat ^keeps taking words out of my keyboard. I'm partial to most bikes, just don't like the whine of a twos-troke theses days.:(
Welcome in Al.

Hi to you all and thanks for your messages of welcome. I'm new to forums so it will take me a while to find my way around. I'm afraid it is a 2-stroke Wendy and 1990's, not 1930's; sorry but you just can't beat the look of a Harley - unless it is a Harley of course! Mine isn't but I live in hope.

Just tried to upload a pici but the file is too large & I don't know how to make it smaller. Will have to ask daughter No. 2 - she's a whiz with photoshop. Watch this space!

PS. Nice to talk to you Blackmogs. We know why it's called the Garden of England don't we; too much damn rain! Today was dank & drab for me too & not much better in London.

Howdy Biker Al.

Welcome to Top Dog.

Howdy Doug; nice photo. You can't beat a bit of retro. That's why I like the Shadow so much. It's not old - well, not too old (1996) but it looks old to me.

Do you ride yourself / Is the photo a self portrait? I hope to post a bike photo as my Avatar soon if I can shrink my image.

Welcome to Top Dog Biker Al, C|:-)
We are happy accept, cats and dogs, leopards and frogs, ancestors and descendants. In fact all sorts are welcome, especially Bikers!

Take your time and have a wander around, we'll be waiting for those questions as soon as you've found your feet.

I'm in Manchester area. I suppose it's not too far from Morcambe - about an hours drive.:)

Oh, you're picture says Location-Lancashire. I hope the tram service is running OK; my company (Thales) is involved in the project. Anyway, off to bed now or I won't get up in the morning. Night.
