Hello From Jonathan1990

I'm Jonathan from UK. I joined this forum after getting into genealogy last year. While lockdown has been going on I've found out some unbelievable things. My parental grandmother's (who just passed away in April) side traces all the way back to King John Lackland 1166 - 1216 as a 27th great granddad. Apparently he had a son called Richard Fitz Roy with Adela De Warren which I want to find out more about as she isn't the same woman that descents to the queen. I also made a YouTube video showing people the line of how I found it but don't know if this forum allows links like that.

Hello Jonathan - welcome! :)

If you would like to post a link to your YouTube video, you are welcome to. However, please make sure that it is non-clicky rather than a direct link. To do that, the easiest way is to put
at the beginning of the url and
at the end - without the space before the ].

Welcome Jonathon C|:-)
When I first started this gig I got really enthusiastic and in found hubbies great grandfather, John Woodcock Grounds was the illegitimate son of a lawyer in Wigan Lancashire. This Mr Woodcock’s (his first name has escaped me for now) mother, I traced right back through her well established family, also to John Lackland but I’m not sure if it’s corrrect or not. I’d would like to think so but I’m not keen on him decsending from King John after watching numerous repeats of Robin Hood. Perhaps we are cousins :D
