Good afternoon everyone I'm Debs and have been researching for around 20 years, but am still a beginner. I have traced my Dads Cheney line quite far back and what I thought was my Mum's paternal line the Igo family in County Mayo and Roscommon. I have just recently found out through D.N.A that my mum is not a biological Igo. She was born during the war when Grandad was away. Mum never knew before she passed so that was a good thing for her as she never knew and would have been gutted.
My dad always told me "don't go messing you don't know what you will find" However still glad I have,just need to search next for an unknown Grandad.
I am researching my Mum's Maternal side at the moment, well trying they are complicated. Meredith's /Hanlon's from Liverpool.
I have read the rules and lots of post so it will probably be a late night as when I start reading I forget the time
