I would like to fill in the gaps of this family. According to my notes,Henry married Elizabeth on the 30th July 1820.( I don't remember where I got the information from.) The 1841 census the family are here-Piece: HO107/142/5 Place: Penwith -Cornwall Enumeration District: 3 Civil Parish: Illogan Ecclesiastical Parish: - Folio: 53 Page: 18 Address: Highway Henry isn't here so maybe he died but Elizabeth is there along with her children-William (1821). He married Jane Penglaze and I have information about him. Jane born 1825. I have no idea what happened to her after 1841. Elizabeth born 1832. No idea what happened to her after 1851. Henry born 1827.No idea what happened to him after 1851. Andrew born 1830. He married Grace Allen and died in 1897. Grace died in 1900. With the gaps in the childrens ages I wonder if Henry and Elizabeth had other children who may have died. 1851 the family are here. It is on FMP's 'Cornwall Marriage Transcriptions' There is a burial for Henry Osborn - reisdence Highway 20th March 1830, age 35 so a yob 1795 - Cornwall Burial Transcriptions
Probably from FMP HENRY OSBORN Elizabeth ROGERS Marriage date: 30 Jul 1820, Illogan, Cornwall Record set: Cornwall Marriages Snap @MollyMay
I put the wrong year! Her year also appears as 1828 in one of the census. COP have a death of a Henry Osborn and the address was Highway,Illogan and that will fit in with Henry the father. Burial was 20th March 1830. Decline. The family bob between Osborn and Osborne.
Still searching for the missing ones without any luck! I have found William (1821) in the 1871 census Piece: RG10/2321 Place: Illogan -Cornwall Enumeration District: 11 Civil Parish: Illogan Ecclesiastical Parish: - Folio: 30 Page: 19 Schedule: 100 Address: Old Workhouse and with his family is Mary Rogers age 60 and she is a visitor and widowed. so I suppose she fits in somewhere with Elizabeth the wife of Henry Osborn. I wonder if it is worth looking for her in the 1861 census. Added: I think that I have found Mary Rogers going back to 1841. Her husband was named John and they lived at Highway,Illogan which is the area the Osborne's lived. Their first child was christened in 1829. Not much use regarding the missing Osborne's.
There is a death reg. for Jane Osborne Dec. qtr 1850 Redruth 9 151 From the GRO list the age is 22, which is slightly out but might make her a contender for your missing Jane

They are the ones. That is an interesting idea. I now found Joseph in 1861 and he was married to Grace and their children were Gabriel and Joseph Henry. The Illogan marriage banns have Joseph a widower and Elizabeth Osborne ,both of this parish on the 14 Jan 1865. In 1881 the family are living at Bowling Green and OPC has a burial of Joseph Brokenshire age 64 on 18th Dec 1893 in that area. OPC has a burial of Elizabeth Brokenshire 28th Sept 1893 age 72 at the Union Workouse. Could be the right Elizabeth.
I splashed the cash and bought the certificate of the Osborne and Brokenshire marriage. January 1865 and Elizabeth Osborne was 42 and a spinster and Joseph Brokenshire was 35 and a widower. Elizabeth's father named Henry a miner and Joseph's father Bejamin. Trouble is it doesn't say that Henry was deceased. I thought that he died in 1830 age 35 at Illogan Highway. Now it is just Henry the son to find.
We cannot rely on notations of Father deceased, it may not have been mentioned. Who would have asked? The Father's name was the most important detail. Even that may have been fudged or just not mentioned for various reasons.
