Howdy, nice to see ya'll again

GrannyBarb

Custodian of the Family Accounts
I'm Barb from Alabama in the States. My family research is mostly in the southeastern US, Texas and New England. My mother's roots reach into Canada, Scotland, and (so far) England's southern coast. Dad's side goes back to Wales and Ireland.

I'm sort of shy, but if your query piques my interest and isn't getting much traction from others, I'll pop in and give it a go. Not very social, though. Mostly just lurk. So rather than being a regular poster, I'm semi-regular... or perhaps a bit irregular???

I was barely keeping everyone straight before, now I think I need a scorecard or spreadsheet to translate all the new names to the old faces. Thanks Doug and Jan for stepping up and giving me another site to check daily for insight and smiles. :D

Regards,
GB

Hi GrannyBarb and welcome to Top Dog C|:-)
Let's hope our queries 'piques your interest' so that we see more of you here, there'll be plenty of smiles for you here so enjoy yourself :)

Hello and welcome in.
I'm sure you will enjoy lurking and will be tempted to a few replies.

Enjoy yourself and have some fun along the way. ;)

Welcome Grannybarb, good to have you here with us - have fun sorting out who is who!C|:-)

Hello, Barb, I am glad you have found us again. :)

I was barely keeping everyone straight before, now I think I need a scorecard or spreadsheet to translate all the new names to the old faces.

I tried but there were so many question marks that I gave up long ago. There's an occasional light-bulb moment when someone gives a crucial clue to their identity . . . otherwise I am just nodding politely and hoping I'll recognise people eventually.

I hope my own disguise isn't too hard to penetrate: let me know if you need a clue. :)

Hi Barb and welcome! I am so pleased that you have joined us. :)

Don't fret about working out if you know anyone - some you will and some you will not as we have friends new and old. ;)

Pull up a chair, plump up the cushions and settle back for a good read.

Hi Barb,

I'm a new one so don't worry about trying to work out who I am!

Welcome C|:-), it's a comfortable and friendly place, enjoy lurking ...

Hello Barb C|:-)

Welcome to Top Dog, you're sure to enjoy the time you spend here amongst old and new friends.

I'm enjoying it a little too much, I seem to spend more than half my day here :) consequently dust is building up around me  and my ironing pile is ever increasing! Oh well.......... housework can wait.

Absolutely, Mealymoo! Life's too short for housework. Stay here with me instead and let's have more fun. :)

Hi GrannyBarb, lovely to see you regular or not. I know the value of those who pop in when things look lost.
Some of us stick out like a neon.

Hi GrannyBarb
Welcome, come on in.
I am also fairly irregular !
You and me can take up the traction together when the experts leave us a gap.

Thanks to all for the very warm welcome. One of these days I'll get around to an avatar and perhaps asking a query or two.

Right now I'm providing daycare for my toddler grandchild (the most adorable tyrant I've ever known  ). Anyway, between her and domestic chores, my research just isn't happening right now.

I do love this new site, when I have a few moments to see "what's new" with everyone.

Okay. Time to stop writing and do some reading.

Hi GB,

Lovely to have you with us.

Like you, I have no idea who most of those on TD now were in a previous life. :)
