Just been sent this, which is on the inside:There was a J or I Hill who worked from Oxford Street London, 1775-1808. Painted on paper.
I thought that it could be Gt (Great) Marylebone Street, which is now New Cavendish Street...Could that be 19 High Marylebone?
Yes, I read it as Gt tooI thought that it could be Gt (Great) Marylebone Street, which is now New Cavendish Street...
You little cracker! That certainly sound like the right chap!Warburton one name study…..not at all saying this name is Warburton, however in 1841 there is a John Warburton MD age 50 St Marylebone. Address is 23 Park Crescent Cavendish Square. According to the one name study he was the son of Thomas Warburton, an infamous mad house keeper who as noted in his will owned property at Westminster, St John, Hackney and St Matthew Bethnal Green. John died in 1845.

I do have a small problem with him being the John who died in 1845 as the age doesn’t fit. J Hill being around only until 1808. However John ? Warburton could be a relative. You little cracker! That certainly sound like the right chap!
Thank you!
