Margaret Bowes/Bows nee McCulloch

Sis

Rootles out resources!
Can anyone find a death for Margaret Bowes/Bows/Bowse nee McCulloch in Ayrshire, Scotland? She married James Bowes/Bows/Bowse in 1827 Kilmarnock, Ayrshire. Twins were born Kilmarnock March 1828. James remarried 11 October 1830 in Kilmarnock.

Civil Registration didn't start in Scotland until 1855, and unfortunately burial records can be quite thin on the ground for Scotland.

Ive had a quick look at the Kirk Sessions and there's a mention of them in the MInutes for 1828 as follows:
Bows & McCulloch
James Bows & Margart McCulloch his wife compeared & having confessed guilt of antenuptial fornication were absolved after having been rebuked

I'll keep looking for anything more, but the link for the above is here (you may need to register first):

Thank you very much for that. I was so intent of trying to find her burial I completely forgot to look elsewhere on the site.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to find anything else. Sometimes you can find a record in the accounts book, but it doesn't appear to have survived for the period you need.
