I have an Isabella Wrighton born in 1852, parents John and Elizabeth. Isabella's birth record says her mother's maiden name was Cass.

GRO:
WRIGHTON, ISABELLA CASS
GRO Reference: 1852 M Quarter in OF KNARESBRO Volume 09A Page 109 and her Baptism names John and Elizabeth Wrighton as parents.

Isabella Wrighton
Baptism Date: 18 Apr 1852
Baptism Place: Spofforth, All Saints, Yorkshire, England

An A-site Family Tree has an Elizabeth Bennett marrying John William Wrighton but I cannot find that marriage, nor one for an Elizabeth Cass (or ?Carr). Since the first child seems to have been born about 1835, I assumed the marriage was before that or shortly after. But NOTHING!

Detective work please!

Thank you Chimp- I have all the Censuses with their children, but had no idea of the marriage since rumour around the family said the bride was Elizabeth Bennett. The A-site doesn't know about them as far as I can see.
