Monk family history

Hello all…I’ve just joined to hopefully get more family information & fill in some gaps in my knowledge of my ancestors on my father’s side of the family, surname of Monk. Photo is of my grandad in some kind of uniform, would love to be able to definitively identify his cap badge but the photo is a bit blurry obviously . Not sure who the woman is… he was married twice I think so depending on the date it could be either….or neither!

Welcome aboard, @CuriousMonk C|:-) You've come to the right place.

Perhaps pop Grandad's photo onto the British Army threads and we can delve in more detail? Grandad's name, where he was from, etc. The photo's not the best but we've had worse. ;) My dad's, for example.
