Thankyou all for your welcome. I have not been able to do much the past few weeks I had a cataract operation and it didnt go well so I am trying to be patient and waiting for my sight to come back but trying to make do with one good eye.......

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. I'm not very good at being patient I am afraid.

Welcome Annie, and my sympathy for your eye problems as I can just imagine how frustrating it must be for you. Family history is wearing enough without having to do it with only one eye!

I am sure that you already know that Find My Past has digitised images of all the Cheshire Parish records, as do (I believe) Family Search. I have two major lines on my paternal side in Cheshire and have been able to research them back to about 1690 in both cases. I wish all the Counties had the same facilities as it has been fascinating seeing all their baptism and marriage entries for so many generations.

Whatever you do, don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions as this is a great group for helping. I have personally had some wonderful help and have recently broken down a brick wall of some 15 years standing with help from two of the members.
