Now arriving at a forum near you...

Mark, you must be getting our weather from London as its just started to clear up and whenever I come home to Cornwall it's always raining so it feels normal to me.

Hi Mark

Good to see you here. Cornwall weather sounds a lot nicer than Hampshire weather where it's been raining solidly all day. Can we sweep some of our water down the A303 please as the roads here are flooded.

cheers
Tony

We've had our share of rain for the year already Tony - a couple of months ago, I was unable to get out to the main road due to flooding!
Of course, we in Cornwall are used to it - we will evolve gills before long I suspect!

saw my first broken gull's shell this morning - an early hatch or a failure I wonder?

Hope the weather improves for when we come down in 2 weeks for our annual holiday Mark. We're usually very lucky with the weather so fingers crossed this time. Just have to avoid the swooping seagulls ;)

Fancy seeing you here Mark........and the sun is shining too! Hope all your wildlife is thriving and that you aren't doing too bad yourself? Nice to be back amongst the old gang ain't it?

Ann :D

Hi Mark, so glad that the old crowd is getting back together again. I've actually begun to feel enthusiastic at last, so it's got to be good! ;)
Hope the `girls' are all ok, as well as yourself.

I've just noticed AnnB, we've done it again! We used to have a laugh when we posted after one another, without really thinking or completely out of the blue.

Cheers all for the welcomes!

Plenty of wildlife still here Ann (and I wasn't even including the wife! ) ;)

As I sit here typing, there is a bee buzzing somewhere - not outside, but near my chair.... what odds that I am going to get stung at some point?

If you do get stung rub honey on it. Does work!

Did I tell you about the time I sat on a hornet? Nasty experience!

Bee just left via the window! Safe again!

Don't think we want to go there Mark - reminds me of the time my grandmother had a nasty encounter with a patch nettles (don't ask!) And don't forget, the poor bee was much more frightened of you........:D

Best wishes
Ann

I love bees - not too keen on being stung though!
We get a lot of hornets around here - seem to have started appearing in the last 5 or 6 years. Never even seen one until then out here. We get the "huge wasp" version and the purple furry version too - no idea what they are technically called, but the furry ones look quite cute really!

You want to see our Carpenter Bees, huge black shiny things that sound like a motor bike. I've been told they don't sting but I've not stayed around enough to find out. I run.....
