Charles BUTTERFIELD (1) was baptised at Castle Camps, Cambridgeshire on 18th September 1831 to parents Thomas and Sarah (Née RIDGEWELL)

Charles BUTTERFIELD (2) was baptised at Shudy Camps, just down the road, on 13th May 1832 to parents William and Ann (Née WARREN)

In 1841, Charles (1) is living with his parents in Castle Camps, aged 10. (Piece 66, Book 6, Folio 6, Page 6)

In 1841, Charles (2) is living with his parents at Moats, Castle Camps, aged 9. (Piece 66, Book 6, Folio 5, Page 5)

Then, they both disappear.

Both sets of parents are living in Castle Camps in 1851, but no child is to be seen. :headbang:

Are any of you super-sleuths able to discover what happened to the two BUTTERFIELD boys, please? :)

Not having much luck :headbang:

On the USA Atlantic Ports and Gulf Coast Passenger Ports List (FMP) there are 2 Charles Butterfield of the right age but...

Charles born England age 18 going to Boston 9th Nov. 1850 a spinner departing from Liverpool on ship Mores (Moses perhaps) Wheeler

Charles born GB age 19 - I cannot work out the destination (it is not on the transcription) on ship Chas Napier but he is travelling with 'Harry' -
Harry Butterfield age 22 no other info other than he is travelling with Charles on the same ship same date - 20th Nov. 1849
