It’s on right now. How long until you get here?

Earl Grey? Can’t get my taste buds around Earl Grey.
English breakfast for me, in the afternoon. I used to start the day with a nice cup of it but have given it up at that time of day. A water start now.

Can't stand Earl Grey. Like strong-ish tea but without the tannin. Coffee is my life's blood. Flat white when we are out, instant at home.

First thing every day has to be a coffee. Actually I'm on my third cup at the moment, don't know how many more I'll have during the day but it will be enough. :)

I have learnt by trial an error. No coffee after 10 or 11 at the latest otherwise I stare at the ceiling all night but I do love my chai latte before bed. So yummy and spicy and sleep inducing. :)

Isn't it funny how coffee affects or not. If I wake up during the night (properly wake up I mean) I'll get up, make me a coffee and drink that while I play a computer game or similar. After that I go back to bed - and to sleep. I've never had "ill" effects (thank goodness) and hope it stays that way for those few years left. :)

We are Earl Grey people and drink around 6 cups a day each, my wife has to have Lady Grey as her first cuppa and along with my daughter a few months ago they had a Lady Grey and said that it didn't taste right.
They contacted Twinings, who made the Lady Grey and were asked to send a few tea bags to their lab for tasting.
When the results came back it was found that some lapsang souchong could be tasted in with the sample and so gave us vouchers for £12 and an apology. So if you like a particular type of tea then you too could become an expert taster.

Ever had a steroid injection? 2 nights, no sleep. And the injection made no difference.
When I said no coffee after 10 or 11, I meant in the morning. I must be super sensitive I think.
You must have a strong constitution, Philippa.

It’s the bergamot. Bergamot rates with coriander where I’m concerned. Not a lover of either.

Yes the Bergamot makes Earl Grey. Lady grey contains lemon peel and orange peel and was made for the Scandinavian market as they thought that Earl Grey was too strong tasting.
If you want a good strong tea , over here we have Yorkshire tea, disgusting stuff and often refered to as builders tea, because builders like a good strong cuppa.

I saw Yorkshire tea in the supermarket this week - first time ever. Automatic reaction was to say that it would have to be a strong brew, just by the name. :D

Had to have a steroid injection in my scalp earlier this year - the "stuff" was going in felt cold, but the pain reduced dramatically. Thank goodness. I think that's the only one I've had - memory certainly isn't as good as it used to be.

I think I do have a relatively strong constitution, Sue. A lifetime of one particularly bad habit has caught up with me in the last two years, but other than that I'm lucky and consider I'm pretty good for my age.

Been drinking gallons of coffee for so many years now I've forgotten what it's like without!!!

I think I'd be a screaming mess if I was told (or found) that I couldn't have my coffee after 11am. It would be enough to turn me to drink (and that could be a very disastrous state of affairs!!!)

Just heard some disturbing news, the young guy who owns and runs the coffee shop I use (Called Holdfast) is going on holiday for a week, horror, horror!

Fortunately there's another coffee shop about a minute or so walk further down the main street, their coffee is almost as good.

Has anyone ever bought a cuppachino from Star****s, I bought one some years ago and found there was only about half a cup of coffee, the rest was foam, what a rip off. When discussed their reply was "that's how S******** make it", that's when I switched to Flat White, at that time they didn't do a Flat White, i understand they do now.

I don’t think I have gone to St*****. We all have our favourites don’t we?
We have a great cafe here and probably once a week we go. Another good place for a flat white is, and don’t laugh, Maccas. I’m rather fond of their coffee and it’s free for old folks if you get something to eat and show your seniors card. Usually a bacon and egg muffin when travelling early in the day.
Your cappachino sounds like a ‘baby chino’ they give kids. Just froth and a sprinkling of chocolate.

I have a 'Starbucks in the family' probably not related. somehow I forgot to follow the band of coffe drinkers past..ooh a long time ago. I do remember tho', in days of early motherhood when running out of cofee- instant- brought on a headache. :( I still have a coffee machine bought for me by a lovely daughter some' lot of years ago, in another 'hood, but by the time it had finished- the coffee was cold. another little coffee maker upper I don't use as there is only me who may drink it.
Can you hear the icecubes clinking in my water glass now?

But what’s in the water glass with the ice cubes, I ask. Hmmm? ;)
Coffee pod machines only make one cup. The pods aren’t cheap and some brands taste disgusting, the Al** one for instance and all machines only take their own pods. You have to be economical with them. So one a day is my limit.

A boss I had once told me that if she doesn't have a coffee she would get a headache.

If I'm traveling a distance I usually have a McMuffin at Maccas and a coffee, the main reason I use Maccas when traveling is because the food comes quick and the toilets are usually very clean.

To give Starbucks their due, there was some coffee in the cappuccino, only about half a cup though. :D

Don't forget good old PG Tips. Went to a small town, Berry, about a 40 minute drive from here with my son, his wife, his mother in law and two sisters in law, we went into a shop specialising in Tea, my son came out with two packets of PG Tips. :D

I wonder how many people like their coffee on tea around 11 am, after we retired I would often spend the morning in the garden pottering around, usually about 11 am my wife would come out with biscuits and a cup of coffee (instant), then we would sit, chat and watch the birds visiting our garden. Although, sadly, my wife passed away years ago I've kept the habit up of coffee around 11 am. The last few months I've given instant away and bought a large takeaway Flat White, usually 7 days a week. what the heck, spend the kids inheritance plus it gets me out of the house, when I walk in the shop now I get greeted with "hello, the usual?" That routine has the plus of my legs getting some well needed exercise, there's a quite steep hill between me and my coffee, I tend to drink it indoors now, I don't find sitting outside with just my own company very stimulating. :)

Not too sure as the filter thingies haven't been changed yet. Who notices?
Otherwise- water. :D Hoping to deliver my liver or kidneys to a healthy happenstance.
