I have had one ancestor (g-gx4) bugging me and that is William Lunn (?-?), he married a Mary Bishill, Oct 2 1821 in Edenham, Lincolnshire, England. I have Mary's parents as Richard and Mary (nee ?) I have no idea of their birthdate, location etc.

William, himself, is a brick wall I have struggled to climb. I have 2 children down for him: William (1827-1904) and John (?-?) -- William Jr. being my ancestor (g-gx3).

One interesting note is that both William Jr. and John married women with the name Dixon (who were sisters)

    You're welcome :)

There are 2 possible marriages of a Richard Bishill to a Mary near the marriage location of Mary Bishill

    Richard Bishill married Mary Empson
23 Feb 1808, Morton Near Bourne, Lincoln
Indexing Project (Batch) Number: M03032-3 , GS Film number: 1450470 IT 2

    Edenham to Morton 3 miles

    and

    Richard Bishell married Mary Wyles
    22 Nov 1797, Rippingale, Lincolnshire
Indexing Project (Batch) Number: M03114-3 GS Film number: 1450471 IT 2

    Rippingale to Edenham 6 miles

But how you decide which one it could possibly be I don't know.

I'm wondering whether or not those Richards are the same and he remarried. I had a struggle with one ancestor because when he remarried he married a woman by the same name (funnily enough they were 'Mary' too)

At William's baptism 20 July 1828, his father, William, is noted as a labourer.

A few children were christened with parents William and Mary Lunn between 1822 - 1838.

    Edenham - Thomas 28 July 1822; George 13 February 1825 [died 9 January 1826]
    Bourne - Mary Ann 23 October 1825; William 20 July 1828; Emma 29 November 1829; Emma 10 December 1831 [maybe the first Emma died]; Maria 14 December 1834; Robert 28 May 1838.

    I haven't found a John.

William (1827-1904) married a Mary in 1848, so would have left the household by then, John married in 1846 so too would have left.
